Commercial Leasing
Commercially sensible leasing
Eastern Bridge acts for landlords and tenants of commercial, retail and industrial premises. We prepare new leases, review proposed leases, negotiate amendments and advise on the issues that arise throughout the life of a tenancy, from rent reviews and options through to assignments, renewals and disputes.
Commercial leasing is one of Eastern Bridge's principal areas of practice. The leasing team is led by director Paul Nunan, an Accredited Specialist in Commercial Tenancy Law, and senior lawyer Matt Francis, whose practice is also heavily focused on commercial leasing.
A lease should properly protect each party's interests, but it should also support a successful commercial relationship. We do not believe in unnecessary complexity or negotiations over matters of little practical consequence. Competition over clauses that make no practical difference can damage relationships from the outset and cost time and money that neither landlord nor tenant will ever get back.
Whether acting for a landlord or a tenant, our role is to identify the issues that matter, explain the commercial consequences and help our clients achieve sensible commercial outcomes while preserving the commercial relationship wherever possible.
Can we help you?
We don't practise in every area of law. Tell us a little about your situation and we'll let you know whether we are the right firm to help. If not, we'll do our best to point you in the right direction.
