Alanah is a fifth-year law student at Monash University. Once she graduates, Alanah hopes to practice in commercial law and has a particular interest in the area of competition and consumer law.
Alanah has been with Eastern Bridge for two years and a Law Clerk for three, and thoroughly enjoys the opportunity to engage with her studies outside the classroom. She works closely with the wills and estates team, assisting with research, drafting and file management, and particularly enjoys the occasion to interact with clients and participate in meetings.
At university, Alanah is an ambassador in the Monash Law Ambassador Program, as Team Lead on the BridgeLaw project. BridgeLaw works with diverse high school students to increase their access to legal education. Alanah has previously judged the Monash Law Student Society’s mooting competitions and has spoken as a Law Faculty student panellist at Monash University’s Open Day.
Alongside her Bachelor of Laws, Alanah has just completed her Bachelor of Arts, majoring in French. The completion of her French major marked 17 years studying the language, and Alanah now volunteers at her primary school, where she first started her French studies, teaching French to the students.
Outside the office and away from the classroom, Alanah also works for two local leisure centres as a Customer Service Officer. In this role, she has learnt the importance of communication and compassion and brings this knowledge with her to Eastern Bridge.
In her spare time, Alanah enjoys Pilates, finding a good gluten- free snack and is forever searching for her next travel destination.
