Kathy Wilson is Principal of Kathy Wilson Legal and has more than 25 years’ experience advising clients in wills and succession planning, complex probate matters, property law, commercial litigation, guardianship, elder law and dispute resolution. She has worked across Melbourne, suburban and regional Victoria and has extensive experience in resolving disputes involving wills and estate planning, property and guardianship matters.
Kathy is an accredited specialist in Wills & Estates, a qualified Trust & Estate Practitioner and has also trained as an accredited mediator.
She has held a number of leadership and governance roles within the legal profession and corporate sector. Kathy is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and serves as a director of the Law Institute of Victoria, where she has also been a member of the Finance & Audit Committee and previously chaired the Nominations & Remuneration Committee and Taskforce Regulation Committee.
Kathy has also served as chair and director of Fed Square Pty Ltd, including roles as chair of its Nominations & Remuneration Committee and chair of its Audit, Finance & Risk Committee. She is also a director of the Institute of Legal Executives (Victoria and Australia) and is a past President and honorary secretary.
With a strong interest in legislative reform, Kathy has contributed to Victorian Law Reform Commission working parties reviewing succession laws, guardianship laws and the forfeiture rule. She is a regular presenter at legal and community education events and frequently contributes to radio discussions aimed at making legal issues more accessible.

Outside of the office Kathy can be found at the gym, gardening, watching the AFL and spending time with her children.
